Ancoats Visual Arts

Ancoats Visual Arts (AVA) is a vibrant mixed media arts and crafting group fostering connections among residents of Ancoats & Beswick.

Meeting at Hope Mill in Ancoats, AVA is run by a team of volunteers who are dedicated to nurturing wellbeing and creativity within the local community.

Through various art activities, AVA members not only develop new skills but also forge connections with one another. Membership fees to AVA are kept low to reduce barriers to participation.

Everyone interested in arts + crafts is welcome to join. No previous experience is required. Members will enjoy peer-support from a friendly group of amateur artists.

Members have the freedom to work on personal projects or collaborate on group projects, all within a relaxed and encouraging studio setting.

A regular welcoming group in a funky building where like minded people exchange ideas, have a rant, release their creativity and laugh. I would like to see it grow into a bigger group.”
