Hallé St Peter’s serves as a central hub for its rehearsals and recordings, choirs and Youth Orchestra, as well as a space for educational workshops and small performances.

Set within a restored Grade II listed former church, the facility embodies a rich cultural heritage.

The Hallé engages with the community through a variety of initiatives including community activities such as Relaxed Concerts, projects in care homes and hospitals, the Hallé Ancoats Community Choir, Signing for Wellbeing Workshops, and much more.

One notable project, 'Hallé in Your Neighbourhood', extends the therapeutic benefits of music to local spaces, including residential homes. This initiative not only offers residents music in a familiar surrounding but also invites community members into the Hallé St Peter’s space to experience the uplifting joy of music, alongside the social opportunity to meet with other local people.
